Louis Raymond Rhodes

TRAVERSE CITY – Louis R. Rhodes, age 86, of Interlochen, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at his home in the loving care of his family.
Louis was born in Bendon, MI on August 22, 1931 to Louis and Helen (Reed) Rhodes.
Louis was a veteran, and he loved watching the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions. Louis had many hobbies and interests which included; bowling, golf, and his favorite horse shoes.
Louis will be deeply missed by his children; Gerald (Sheila) Rhodes, Terry (Melissa) Rhodes, and Charlene (John) Grzybowski. Grandchildren; Laurissa, Jonathin, Darren, Jacob, Sammi, Dan, Mariah, Travis, Roger, Samantha, and Sam. Great-grandchildren; Jillian, Madison, Roger, Cedric, Danny, Jace, and many nieces and nephews. His is survived by his wife of 63 years, Laura, sisters; Evelyn Shelder, Maxine Stienmiller, and brother, Jim Rhodes. Louis was preceded in death by his brother, Dean Rhodes.
At the request of Louis, cremation has taken place, and a private graveside service will be held in the spring.
