Loula Mae (Maddix) Wildfong age 90, of Traverse City, passed on Saturday, April 28, 2018, due to heart failure, at Grand Traverse Pavilions. She was born on December, 5, 1927 in Ottawa, IL. Loula Mae was the mother of seven loving children. She was preceded in death by five of her children; Bob, Ron, Terrie, Mike and Rick, as well as her ex-husband, Ed Wildfong. She is survived by a daughter, Sharon (Dave) Burns and a son, Dave (Lori) Wildfong and two daughters-in-law, Beth Wildfong and Alice Wildfong. She loved her over 24 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Loula Mae was a native of Green Bay, WI. She was the daughter of the late James Maddix (father) and Anna LaTondress (mother). Loula was born from the Cherokee tribe on her dad's side and Ojibawa tribe from her mother's side. She had five siblings, surviving is a sister, Effie Trepanier and many nieces and nephews. She raised her seven children in Michigan and Wisconsin.
Loula Mae was a co-owner and manager of Wildfong Aluminum products of Saginaw, MI for over 20 years, later she moved to Traverse City and worked at Munson Medical Center retiring after 12 years to enjoy time with family. She was an active member of the American Legion.
A celebration of her life will take place on Sunday, May 20, 2018, from 1pm to 4pm at the Cherryland V.F.W. Post #2780 located at 3400 Veterans Drive Traverse City, MI 49684. She will be buried at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens, 3575 Veterans Drive Traverse City, MI 49684.
