In 1945, Lucille and Clarence returned to Traverse City, where they worked and raised their family.
She was on the board of Asgard and was a past president of the Women's Auxiliary of the Cherryland VFW Post 2780.
She loved to watch Tigers baseball and was a big sports fan of all her grandchildren and went to many sporting events. She was an avid hunter, and in her last year of deer hunting bagged two deer with one shot at the age of almost 80.
