Lynn Feeter

October 10, 1943 — May 23, 2026

Lynn Feeter, 82, of Traverse City, passed away peacefully at Munson Hospice House on May 23, 2026.

Lynn was born on October 10, 1943 in Rochester, New York to the late Harry William and Margaret Lucille (Sandle) Feeter.

Lynn served in the United States Army from 1961 – 1970. She was awarded the Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster and the National Defense Service Medal.

Lynn met her wife, Ruth Glaspey, while they were serving in the Army and they were together for many decades before becoming legally married, when it became possible to do so.

Following her time in the service, she continued to serve and care for others as a family therapist. She retired from Child and Family Services and the Maple Clinic in Traverse City at the age of 62.

Lynn was delightful, smart, witty and compassionate. She was devoted to Grace Episcopal Church and along with singing in the choir, enjoyed volunteering in the food pantry and serving on a community meal team.

Ruth and Lynn were passionate about their dogs (shelties only, please) and their cats, sharing their lives with several of each over the years. They were active members of a dog agility training club in South Boardman, competing in local dog agility trials as well as qualifying for and attending the National Petit Prix of the Teacup Dog Agility Association in Racine, WI in 2009. They even showed off the agility talents of Fancy (sheltie) at a talent show at Grace Episcopal in 2012.

Lynn was preceded in death by her brother, David, and her parents.

Lynn is survived by her wife, Ruth Glaspey.

A celebration of life will be held on Sat., June 13, at 11am at Grace Episcopal Church.

Memorial contributions in her honor may be directed to Grace Episcopal Church, 341 Washington St., Traverse City, MI 49684
