TRAVERSE CITY — Lynne V. McCreary, 77, of Traverse City, passed away Dec. 31, 2011, at Munson Medical Center. Lynne was born on Feb. 10, 1934, in Detroit, to the late Howard and Madeline (Burkhardt) Dreyer. In 1951 Lynne married Bernard J. McCreary, who passed away in 2002. In her spare time Lynne enjoyed sewing, golfing and spending time with her Golden Lab, Wendy. Lynne is survived by her children, Tom (Carol) McCreary, of Wichita, Kan., Michael (Chris) McCreary, of Ellsworth, Kathleen (Mark) Roster, of Alpena, and Daniel McCreary, of Traverse City; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Patrick in 1976. Friends may call at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, at 11 a.m., also at the funeral home, with the Rev. Father Leonard Paul serving as celebrant. Burial will take place at a later date at Oakwood Catholic Cemetery.
