M. Evon Cram, 95, of Traverse City died Monday, December 26, 2016 at Grand Traverse Pavilions Evergreen Cottage in Traverse City.
Evon was born on Thursday, June 9, 1921 to the late William and Myrtle (Belanger) Kress in Port Huron. She married Robert L. Cram on Sunday, October 13, 1940, also in Port Huron.
She and her husband moved to Traverse City in 1962 and enjoyed many years living on East Bay on the Old Mission Peninsula. Evon worked in retail sales downtown and many will remember her beautiful smile from Wilsons and Petertyls. She was deeply devoted to her family and friends and enjoyed reading.
Evon is survived by her son, Leland (Kathleen) Cram of Interlochen; daughter, Linda K. Spiers of Traverse City; ten grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, Katherine L. Barr of Traverse City and Vickie L. MacLellan of Asheville, NC.
In addition to her husband, Evon was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother William.
