In Loving Memory of Ms. Madge Hillier
Madge Hillier, a resilient and tenacious woman, passed away on February 10th, 2024, at the age of 67. Born on January 24th, 1957, in Mackinaw City, MI, to Lawrence and Hellen, she was one of 13 siblings. Despite facing illness,Madge exemplified strength and courage, never yielding in her fight.
Madge married the love of her life, George Hillier, for an incredible 47 years. Together, they built a life filled with love and shared experiences. Their union brought forth a son, Jason, who, along with his wife Amy and their three children Katelyn, Grace, and Alexis, was a source of immense pride and joy for Madge.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Madge cherished her family above all else. Her love was unwavering, and her presence brought warmth to every gathering. Madge had a special fondness for watching soap operas, indulging in the captivating stories that mirrored the drama and love she found in her own life. Additionally, she enjoyed the thrill of playing bingo, making it a regular part of her routine.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Hellen, as well as her siblings Awanda, Mona, and Lavon.
Madge Hillier is survived by her beloved husband George, son Jason and his wife Amy, and their children Katelyn, Grace, and Alexis. She is also survived by her step-son Gary and his wife Angie, along with their children Tyler, Tamara, Carson, Aaliyah, and Dexter. Madge is further survived by her step grandchildren, Hunter, Hayden, Hudson, Harrison, and her siblings Huz (Mearl), Erma, Christine, Betty, Cleo and Lawrence Jr.
Madge is also survived by Jenny (Gary) O'Connor, Sherry (Gary) Fox, Angie (Bill) Schopieray, and Homer (Terri) Hillier. Madge will be remembered fondly and missed by countless friends and family members.
A celebration of Ms. Madge Hillier's life will be held on February 15th, with a visitation starting at 2:00 at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
