TRAVERSE CITY - Marcia Rinal, 66, of Traverse City, passed away unexpectedly at Munson Medical Center on January 24, 2016. Marcia was born on April 19, 1949 in Grand Rapids, MI., to her parents the late Chester A. and Teresa (Terpstra) VanKeuren.
She graduated from Northwestern Michigan College with a nursing degree in 1968 and was employed as a Sleep Center Manager with Munson Medical Center until her retirement.
She married Richard Rinal II on May 26, 1973 in Traverse City and the couple raised two children together. She loved living on Bass Lake and enjoyed boating, traveling, and spending time with her family and being a loving grandmother. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who had many friends and will be missed by all.
Marcia is survived by her husband Richard; children, Holly Rinal of Traverse City, and Richard III (Teri) Rinal of Traverse City; grandchildren, Richard John Rinal IV, Harper Rhys Rinal, RaSean Jamille Johnson II; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A celebration of life gathering will be held in late spring for family and friends. The family would like to offer special thanks to all the staff at Munson who helped care for Marcia over the years.
