Margaret Ann Bright fondly known as Peggy and Nana, age 67, of Maple City, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 31, 2024 at Munson Hospital. Peggy was born on May 3, 1957 in Traverse City, Michigan to the late George and Clarine Myers.
In 1978, Peggy married Allen J. Bright. Together they raised their family in Lake Ann, where they also were highly active and influential in the community. They were able to spend their later years at their lake house in Maple City, which became a social gathering place for friends and family.
Throughout her life, Peggy enjoyed watching her grandkids' sporting events. Gardening, plants, flowers, and floral arranging were her passions and she loved sharing these with others. Her creativity and artistic abilities were unmatched. She always surprised and delighted others with her creations. She was the former owner of Cherryland Floral, founder of Waterscapes Unlimited and very active with Breeze Hill Nursery.
Peggy was a great storyteller. She was almost always upbeat and had an amazing, positive, can-do attitude. There was nothing she couldn't do if she put her mind to it. She was kind, caring, and generous. As a nature lover, Peggy always enjoyed the outdoors in any season. Whether at Lake Michigan beaches, on the lakes, in the forests or meadows, or digging in the dirt of her gardens, she was always at one with the beauty of Northern Michigan.
Peggy was preceded in death by her first husband Daniel Winowiecki in 1976.
Peggy is survived by her husband Allen Bright, Ryan (Stacey) Bright, Jacob Bright, Justin (Wendy) Bright, Amber (John) Hughes; Grandchildren: Alexis Bright, Noah Bright, Carter Bright, Addison Hughes, Ashlyn Hughes: sisters Sharon Harrigan and Patty Majszak; nieces and nephews Austin Harrigan, Blake Harrigan, Paige Harrigan, Alisha Baker (Majszak), Isaac Majszak, Jennifer Lemanski (Majszak); cousins Dave Myers, Beverly Kearly; dear friends Chris Bint, Pat Hobson, Rhonda Randall & many more; and beloved Golden Doodle Tucker.
