Margaret (Peggy) Ford, long time resident of Breton Village in Trenton, Michigan, joined her Heavenly Father on August 7, 2021 in Traverse City at the age of 96. Peggy was retired from the General Motors Tech Center where she worked as a claims processor. During the past few years while she lived with her niece Cindy Miner in Traverse City, Peggy made plenty of new friends, while still in contact with her many friends "back home" in Trenton. Peggy's love for everyone she met, spunky energy, and occasional feistiness endeared her to all.
A mass will be said in her honor Sunday, August 22, 2021 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wyandotte and a Celebrations of Life will be announced at a later date. Her ashes will be buried with her son Dale at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township., MI.
Peggy is survived by her son and daughter in law, Wayne and Sandy Ford of Chicago, her niece Cindy Miner of Traverse City, granddaughter Brooke Ford of Texas, and daughter in law Kim Ford of Detroit. She is preceded in death by her beloved son Dale Ford, sister Ann Izydore, brothers Stephen, John, Andrew, Michael, and George Bilec, and parents Mary and John Bilec.
Peggy's legacy is one of never-ending youthfulness and joy of living. She wholeheartedly engaged in any activity presented and made everyone around her feel cared for and valued. Her passing at Munson Hospital was way before her time. She is terribly missed.
