Obituary

FIFE LAKE — Margaret Scott, 72, of Fife Lake, died Oct. 14, 2011, at Munson Medical Center. Margaret was born on March 3, 1939, in Rapid City, to the late Robert Purcell Morrison and Nellie (Jerome) Morrison. In 1956, Margaret married Charles D. Scott. After graduating from High School in Rapid City, she attended NMC and became a certified legal assistant. She worked for Murchie Calcutt and Brown, which became Murchie Calcutt and Sondee and later Sondee Racine and Doren. She served as President of the National Association of Legal Secretaries and was awarded the honor of Secretary of the Year in 1987. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, knitting and doing needle point. She loved to make handmade gifts for her friends and family. Margaret was a fantastic cook and was selected as a finalist for the Pillsbury Bake Off. She also enjoyed watching her son and grandson race cars and stock cars. Margaret was a member of MENSA. She was also a lifelong lover of animals. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband; brother, Robert Morrison; and sister, Ellen J. Knepper. Margaret is survived by her son, Bill (Brenda) Scott, of Fife Lake; daughters, Holly (Jeff) Henion, of Traverse City, and Christine (Brian) Tithof, of Fife Lake; grandkids, Billy (Goldie) Scott, Geoff Henion, Heather (Tim) Brantley and Melanie (Adam) Hardy; and great-grandkids, Kaden, Lydia, Lilly and Izzy. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011, at 6 p.m., with visitation one hour prior, at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Pastor Doyle Berg from Christ Community Church will lead the service of remembrance. Memorial contributions may be directed to A.C. Paw.
