Margot H. Diehl, 85, of Traverse City passed away Wednesday December 4th, 2019 at her home in the care of Hospice of Michigan. She was born on March 16th, 1934 in Friedberg, Germany and was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Matilda Manger.
Margot was many things to many people…. wife, mother, grandma, friends and neighbor to Evelyn and Lyle Sutton who were always there to lend a hand. Margot was a military wife for many years, and settled most of her years in Traverse City.
She was quick-witted and took great pride in her home. She taught her children the importance of happiness and living in the moment. Margot was always there to provide support and understanding to those who loved her. She will be remembered by many as a strong-headed woman who never hesitated to do or say what she wanted. She always enjoyed long road trips to Wisconsin for cheese or to the Peninsula for fresh fruit or pie. She also enjoyed her Friday night casino dates.
Margot is survived by her children; Judith Pifer, Thomas Diehl, Donna Boes, James Diehl, Linda Eager, Nancy Zimmerman (Leo), Michael Diehl (Heather). Along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She will live on in memories of all those lives she touched so deeply.
Margot is preceded in death by her husband Donald and daughter Sue.
The family is being cared for by the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
