Marian Ann Werhand

Marian Ann Werhand, 75, of Traverse City and formerly of South Haven passed away peacefully on August 12, 2022 at Munson Hospice House after a valiant battle with cancer.

Marian was born on November 4, 1946 in Vallejo, CA to the late Lyle W. and Norma J. (Lowden) Mowery.

On October 18, 1969, Marian married her best friend, Edward F. Werhand in Las Vegas. Together they have shared many good times, laughs and lots of love throughout their 52 years of marriage.

Marian was a flight attendant for over 30 years. Even when she wasn't working, she and Ed loved to travel around the world and explore beautiful destinations. She also enjoyed reading, playing card games and boating. She was a huge Cubs fan and from time to time enjoyed a nice glass of wine. She also was a dog lover and is survived by her rescue dog Ellie.

Above all else, Marian cherished her family. She will be remembered for her selfless, caring and patient heart of gold.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert Mowery and sister-in-law Joan Alexander.

Marian is survived by her beloved husband Ed; their children Eric (Jacquelyn) Werhand and Danica (George) Powell; grandchildren Cora, Finley, Fletcher and Clark and Ed's siblings Judy, Rich(Judy) and Joyce.

A visitation for friends and family will be held on Thursday, August 18 from 10 am to Noon at the Gardens at Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
