Marilyn June Finn, 91, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021 at Orchard Creek Skilled Nursing while holding her beloved husbands hand.
She was born in Detroit on June 1, 1930 to Glenn and Leedna (Humphry) Vedder. On April 20, 1968, at First United Methodist Church in Royal Oak, she married Bernard John Finn, who survives.
Marilyn spent her career as an executive secretary at Vickers, Inc. and moved to Traverse City in 1987, from Troy. She was a member of The Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed quilting, square dancing, sewing and knitting more than 1600 hats for newborns at Munson Medical Center. She was past secretary for the Grand Traverse Area Rock and Mineral Club.
In addition to her husband, Marilyn is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Glenn H. Vedder and Dr. Robert Vedder.
A memorial service for Marilyn will take place on Monday, October 4, 2021 at the Presbyterian Church at 11am with a visitation beginning at 10:30. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.
