Marilyn Ann (Michalski) Bohn

Marilyn Ann (Michalski) Bohn, 73, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019 surrounded by loving family.

Marilyn was born on August, 27, 1945 to parents Roman and Vivian Michalski in Dearborn, Michigan. She attended Traverse City Central High School and expressed her artistic talents in the art club, yearbook, and designed the Traverse City Central High school logo. Marilyn continued her education at Michigan State University and Ferris State University, focusing in commercial design.

She met Richard Bohn and together they celebrated 55 years of marriage and their sons Gregory and Christopher Bohn. In addition to being a homemaker, Marilyn worked alongside her husband Richard at RB Construction helping to design homes. She also worked for Country Casuals where she thoroughly enjoyed her customers.

Marilyn will be forever remembered for her passion of nature and animals. She enjoyed all animals, especially swans, birds and her cockatiels. She enjoyed traveling in the motorhome she and Richard designed. She especially loved the mountains out West. Marilyn enjoyed many years attending her sons Gregory's and Christopher's sporting events, particularly football and skiing. She and Richard enjoyed spending time together boating here on our beautiful lakes. Marilyn was a gifted artist and enjoyed attending art shows. She had an eye for unique artwork. Above all, Marilyn's devotion to her family and friends was most important to her.

Marilyn is forever loved by her husband Richard, sons Gregory (Christine) Bohn of Traverse City and Christopher (Kim) Bohn of Milan, MI, grandchildren: Ashley, Joseph, Joshua, Tyler, Alexandra, and Sydney, brother-in-law Ken Bohn, sister-in-law Barbara (Dan) Kipley, fond aunt of Kyra, Danny, Katie and many other special nieces and nephews, and a loving extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert Michalski, father-in-law and mother-in-law, and brother-in-law Jerry.

The family will welcome friends at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home on the evening of Monday, July 29, 2019 from 4-7 P.M. The rosary will be prayed at 7 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial is to follow at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Traverse City, MI, on Tuesday, July 30 at 11 A.M., visitation to begin one hour prior, and a luncheon following Mass at the church.

The family has asked that those wishing to make a memorial donation in Marilyn's name may do so to the Cherryland Humane Society, 1750 Ahlberg Rd, Traverse City, MI 49696.
