Marilyn R. Niederstadt (née Brown, Gremel) of Traverse City, Michigan, passed away December 12, 2022, at the age of 75.
She was born January 12, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan.
Marilyn graduated from Olivet College. She taught elementary school in Lansing, was a long-term substitute teacher in Traverse City, and then taught elementary school in Saginaw. She loved spending time with family and friends. Some of her fondest memories are of spending summers at the family cottage on Torch Lake.
Surviving are four children: Mike (Coni) Gremel, Joe (Heather) Gremel; Teri (B.J.) Hull, Rick (Jen) Niederstadt; four grandchildren: Ethan and Hannah Gremel; Coleman and Garrett Niederstadt; sister-in-law Rose Niederstadt; sister-in-law Corinne Brown and nieces Heather Michals and Megan Agemy.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gary; her parents Howard and Mary Brown; brother Roger Brown and her brother-in-law Jim Niederstadt.
Her wish was to be cremated. A service and celebration of her life will be held on February 9, 2023, at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff funeral home in Traverse City with a prayer/open sharing service from 1:45pm-2:00pm and an open house from 2-4pm.
