Marilyn K. Novack, 83, of Traverse City passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Grand Traverse Pavilions in Traverse City.
Marilyn was born on September 18, 1929 to the late Ewald and Ksenia (Quick) Miller in Detroit, MI. She entered into marriage with Thomas E. Novack on August 2, 1952 in Detroit, MI.
Marilyn made her living working as a registered nurse. She most recently was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church after relocating here 13 years ago from Caseville, MI. Marilyn took care of the family making their home in Livonia, where she raised seven children. She could often be found filling time, cooking, baking or finding joy in arranging silk and dry flowers. In recent years, she participated with the choir and the Father Fred Foundation.
Marilyn is survived by her loving family, her children; Gregory (Marijo) Novack, Fr. Kevin Novack, Clifford Novack, Marcie (Brian) Hester, Rochelle (Randall) Schonfield, Renee Asciutto and Amy Novack, ten grandchildren; two sisters; Lucille Miller and Rosemary (John "Jack") Ternes, and many other loving family members and friends.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas and one sister, Frances Hannosh.
Visitation for friends and family will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, October 26, 2012 at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
A memorial Mass will take place at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the St. Francis Catholic Church, with Rev. Kevin Novack officiating.
