Marilyn Helen Shenk, 86, of Traverse City passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Glen Eagle. Marilyn was born on April 27, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Earl and Mildred (Logan) Myers. She was married to William G. Shenk on August 12, 1950 in Detroit. Marilyn worked as a Registered Nurse. Marilyn was a great caregiver over the years caring for family members and volunteering at many blood drives. She and Bill moved to her home on Green Lake in 1993. Marilyn loved to play golf as well. Above all spending time with her family was Marilyn's greatest joy.

Marilyn is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, William "Bill", her three daughters; Barbara (William) Lusk, Nancy Jean Rocheleau and Suzanne (Denton) Roberts. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Nicole, Justin, Julie and Brittany as well as a great-grandson, Nicolino.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Earl Myers.

A memorial service honoring Marilyn will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth Street, Traverse City, Michigan 49684, with visiting one hour prior.
