Marilyn Ann Zimmer

Marilyn Ann Zimmer, 85, of Interlochen, went to be with the Lord she loved
and served so faithfully, Friday, January 9, 2015.

Marilyn was born September 23, 1929, in Binghamton, NY, to the late Bert and
Jane Jones. Following graduation from Providence Barrington Bible College,
she married Pastor Robert Zimmer, on June 26, 1954.

Marilyn served alongside her husband for 60 years in churches in NY, VA, IL
and NJ. Her greatest joys in life were raising her children and
ministering to others through teaching, counseling, and music. Her hobbies
included reading, singing, sewing, quilting, gardening, and travel. Her
husband's ministry enabled her to visit more than 25 countries all around
the world. In her later years, she served alongside him in the Netherlands
and Haiti, and maintained a correspondence ministry to prisoners in the US.

Marilyn is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Dr. Robert Zimmer,
her loving children, John (Helen) Zimmer, Barbara (Rick) Paulsen, Betty
(Brad) Snowball, Stephen (Laurie) Zimmer, and Cheryl (Dean) DeKryger;
eighteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; a brother Don Jones, and
many other precious friends and family members.

Services will be held at 3 PM on Tuesday, January 13, at the Redeemer
Presbyterian Church in Traverse City, with visitation held from 2 – 3 PM.
Pastors Dan Millward and Scott Korljan will officiate.
