TRAVERSE CITY – Marjorie Farnham, 89, of Traverse City, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2018 with her family by her side. Marge was born July 30, 1928 to Harry and Mabel (Snyder) Landis in Pittsburg, PA.
After her family relocated to Royal Oak, MI, she met her future husband, Edward Farnham in the fifth grade and they were eventually married in 1948. Marjorie attended Wooster College in Ohio, was a member of P.E.O. and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Together they eventually settled in Traverse City in the late seventies. Marge was a wonderful cook, mentor, confidant, and loved to play cards and board games.
Marjorie is survived and dearly missed by Edward, her beloved husband of 69 years, her three children Katherine (Doug) White, Edward Farnham II, (David Durham), Vicki (Mike) Wildman; her grandchildren Jeffrey (Caitlin) White, Mike (Amber) White, Kevin (Bridget) Farnham, Mark (Jennifer) Farnham, Jennifer (Scott) Vander Veen; Kristin Wildman, Kelly (Jay) Muck; and 15 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Jim Landis.
A memorial service to honor Marge will take place May 12, 2018 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior. Her final resting place will be at the Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
