Marjorie Ann O'Henley, 84, of Traverse City, Michigan passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 11, 2023. Marjorie was born to the late Charles S. and Margaret Mae (Doughty) French in Alpena, Michigan on December 11, 1938. She attended Alpena High School.

In 1965 she married John Francis O'Henley. They lived in suburban Detroit. She worked as a beautician and then later operated her own business in the Thumb area. When her husband retired, they traveled the country for a few years in a camper bus and then settled in Yuma, Arizona. After being widowed she spent considerable time volunteering for various charitable organizations including nursing homes, hospices, and various community services.

She had a heart for animals and for people who had a rough life. An automobile accident took some of her mobility in later years, but not her spirit.

She was predeceased by her parents, her siblings, Elizabeth Jane Dahlin, William Charles French, Evelyn Marie Skowronek, and Norma Mae Timm, and by her husband.

She is survived by nephews and nieces including Steven Timm, Dianne O'Henley Partington, Karen O'Henley Williams, and Joanne O'Henley Christian.

In accordance with Marjorie's wishes her remains have been donated to University of Michigan Anatomical Gifts Program. Eventual inurnment will be at St. Columbkille Catholic Cemetery, Ubly, Michigan.

Memorial Service for Marjorie O'Henley will be held on Sunday, June 11, at 11 AM at the Traverse City Seventh-day Adventist Church, 2055 N. Four Mile Rd., Traverse City, Mi. Pastor Benjamin Garcia will officiate.
