Mark Brian Dulac, 61, of Traverse City, died unexpectedly at home from natural causes on October 6, 2022.
He was born in Saginaw, December 6, 1960 to parents Louis and Joan (Punches) Dulac. Mark graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1979. Following graduation, he attended Ferris State University and received his doctor of pharmacy degree.
While working at his uncle's pharmacy he met his wife Julie. They were married nearly 37 years, living in the Traverse City area most of that time. Their son Luke is a student at Michigan Technological University.
As life would have it, Mark's professional ambitions changed from pharmacy to home building. He started Manitou Construction in the late 1990s, enjoying a successful career until the time of his passing. He was a member and past president of the Home Builders Association, Parade of Homes People's choice Award, two-time winner of the Green Builder's Award and first place winner for overall home. He was also named Developer of the Year for his Bear Farms project.
Mark was an avid outdoorsman and was known for his kind heart, keen intellect and generosity toward all. Mark could make about anyone laugh and was an expert problem solver.
Mark is survived by his wife Julie (Shepherd) Dulac; son Luke Dulac; father Louis Dulac; brother Richard (Jeanette) Dulac; sister Holly Huffman and nine beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan.
