Martin Joseph Send died August 19th, 2025 following a heart attack caused by melanoma cancer. He was thankful for the life modern medicine was able to provide for him for the past 8 years. We are very grateful for his cancer team, the staff at Munson Hospital and the first responders from Whitewater Twp. Fire and Rescue.
Marty was born to Arthur and Florence (Laming) Send on December 24th, 1971, six minutes after his identical twin Mark; this was the last time Mark arrived on time to any occasion, making Marty the youngest of 11 children. Their mom showed her impressive organizational skills by having Santa make a surprise visit a day early for their 9 older siblings.
Marty was born with farming in his blood. He was a co-owner of Send Brothers Farms with his twin Mark and their brother Eric. They started buying the farm and feed business from their dad and Uncle Richard at 18 years old. They are famous in the greater Williamsburg area for growing sunflowers that they love to share with the community. He loved spending time on the farm with his kids, nieces and nephews.
Marty met his wife Beanie (Gibson) at his brother Eric and her best friend Donna's wedding. They were married in 1997 and have 3 children; Joey (Katie) Send, Jackie (Rem) Shively, and Jill Send (Dylan Schaub). Marty and Beanie loved spending time with their children and more recently grandson Charlie. Despite his health battles this past year Marty, his family, brothers, nephews and friends were able to build a new house for the family to enjoy together.
Besides spending time with his family, he was passionate about deer hunting a love Joey and Jill share. November 15th was his favorite day of the year. He was proud of the many large bucks he harvested and loved to see other people's deer and hear their hunting stories.
Marty made many friends of the farmers he delivered feed to. We know they will miss his 3am wakeup call when he delivered their feed.
Marty is survived by his wife Beanie, their 3 children, their spouses, their grandson Charlie, twin Mark (Tara), Eric (Donna), Jeff (Sandy), Mary (George) Drogt, Greg (Jill) Dave (Diane) Pam (Bob) Lewis, Gloria (John) Hamelund, Rose (Gary) Hanna, 26 nieces and nephews, and many extended family members. His in-laws Mandy Gibson, Roger Gibson, brothers in law Pat (Katie), Jeff (Jennifer) and 7 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Mike and nephew Brian Lewis.
In addition to an intimate celebration held by family, a public Celebration of Marty's life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Send Brothers Feed at the Feed Mill, 8670 Bates Rd. Williamsburg.
In lieu of flowers he was very grateful for the staff and services he received at Cowell Cancer Center and would like donations to go to their children's cancer program. He also was very appreciative of the care his parents received at the Munson Hospice House.
He will be missed by so many. When you see the sunflowers think of him.
