Mary Aurora "Tina" Beitel, 82, of Sarasota and Williamsburg passed away April 24, 2019 in Sarasota.

Tina was born on February 20, 1937 in Detroit to Thomas Hart and Dorothy Gartland Farrow. She was adopted and lovingly raised by William and Marguerite (Murphy) Teahen.

On August 19, 1957 Tina married the love of her life, Ronald A. Beitel in Detroit.

Tina lived in Detroit, Kalamazoo, Lansing, Chicago, IL, Columbus, OH and Westerville, OH prior to moving to the area in 1996. She was an Eucharistic Minister at Christ the King Catholic Church in Acme. Tina enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She also enjoyed reading, boating and traveling.

Tina was preceded in death by her parents, son Jeffrey, brother Robert Miller and beloved uncle U.S. Supreme Court Justice Frank Murphy.

Tina is survived by her husband of 61 years Ron, children James (Sondra), Scott (Molly), Ronald (Beth), Julie; daughter-in-law Diane; brother Michael (Pauline) Miller; 15 grandchildren and 10 and a half great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 3, 2019 from 4 to 6 pm at Christ the King. The rosary will be prayed at 6 pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 2:00 pm, also at Christ the King, with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Oakwood Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in memory of Tina may be directed to the Christ The King Rainbow Fund or the Tidewell Hospice in Sarasota or to the Smith Family Breast Health Center at Munson Medical Center.
