Mary Alice Blake, 77 of Traverse City passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Mary was born on November 20, 1935 in Munising MI to the late Lavern and Marie (Degarie) Mahoney. She married Thomas Olin Blake on May 19, 1956 in Traverse City at St. Francis Catholic Church. Together they lovingly raised two wonderful children.

Mary was a proud graduate of the St. Francis class of 1954 and a member of the school bowling team. After graduation she worked at JC Penney in the business department, then went to Burwoods for 20 plus years.

Mary enjoyed playing cards, bingo, hunting in her earlier years and most importantly spending time with her family. Mary was a great wife, mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her family.

Surviving Mary is her husband, Thomas of 56 years, children, Deborah Tomei and Thomas (Jerilyn) Blake, grandchildren, John (Kayla) Tomei, Josie Blake and Thomas Blake.

Visitation will be held for Mary on Friday April 19, 2013 from 3-6pm at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Private family services will be held at a later time. Inurnment will take place at the Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be directed to AC Paw.
