Mary Stella "Stel" Carl, 88, of Williamsburg, passed away on Feb. 10, 2016. Stel was born on August 10, 1927 in Detroit to the late Frank and Elizabeth (Galasso) Auguliaro.
Stel graduated from Denby High School and later attended Wayne State University.
She married the late James W. Carl (2010) on March 31, 1951 in Detroit and the couple celebrated 59 years of marriage living in Detroit, Allen Park and Williamsburg..
Stel was employed as a bookkeeper and a secretary and In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, designing dresses, teaching and playing the piano and cooking. Stel loved Jehovah, her God and His son Jesus. She served God faithfully since the age of 19.
Stel is survived by her son Randy, her sister Jill of Pinckney, and many friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years and sisters, Lotty and Ginny.
A memorial service will on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home with a luncheon to follow. Interment will take place at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens in the spring.
Memorial contributions in Stel's memory may be directed to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (1950 Chase Road, Traverse City, MI, 49685).
