Mary Jane Conlon, 84 of Traverse City and formerly of Birmingham, MI passed away on July 28, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Mary Jane was born on January 18, 1928 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Willard C. and Helen C. (Irwin) Eidson. She married the late John J. Conlon on August 6, 1960 in Columbus, Ohio. Together they lovingly raised three children.

Mary Jane graduated from Ohio State University and was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She was a retired secretary for the Birmingham Public Schools. Mary Jane was an avid Bridge player,enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and volunteering.

Surviving Mary Jane are her children, John (Chris Carlson) Conlon of Boston, MA, Mary Catherine (Perry) Adams of Traverse City, and Michael I. (Marcia) Conlon of Traverse City, grandchildren, Ryan, Sarah, Jackson, Casey, and Kelly.

Mary Jane is preceded in death by her parents, husband John, and grandson Brent Conlon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11am on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery on Friday, August 3, 2012 at 9:30am.
