Mary E. Cooper, 76, of Traverse City, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025.

Mary graduated from New Haven High School in 1967, earned her undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University, and received her MBA from Vanderbilt University. She retired from the Defense Intelligence Agency in Washington, D.C., where she was highly respected for her dedication and intellect. After retirement, Mary made her home along the Boardman River in Traverse City, where she enjoyed volunteering, golfing, and exploring northern Michigan. She will be remembered for her humor, warmth, intelligence, and adventurous spirit. Mary is survived by her siblings; Joyce Wood, Donna (Craig) Brown, Carol Koch, and Irving (Joanne) Cooper.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
