WILLIAMSBURG — Mary C. Cronin, 83, of Williamsburg and formerly of Brighton, died Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, at her home.Mary was born on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 1928, to the late Thomas and Margaret (Coffey) Dale in Dearborn. She married Jack H. Cronin on Saturday, Sept. 9, 1950, in Flint; he preceded her in death in 2009.A resident of this area since 1999, Mary and Jack moved here from Brighton. Mary had been employed as an executive secretary/administrative assistant at Mt. Carmel Hospital, General Motors and EDS (Electronic Data Systems) prior to her retirement. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Parish in Acme. She enjoyed playing bridge, reading, walking and knitting. Mary is survived by her loving family, Michael (Robin) Cronin, of Troy, Timothy Cronin, of Stamford, Conn., Patrick (Karen) Cronin, of Kalamazoo, Mary Beth (Jeff) Gardner, of Williamsburg, Kathleen (Roberto) Corona and Megan (Craig) Weckler, both of Traverse City; her 12 grandchildren, Brinn, Kyle, Keaghan, Baker, Maggie, Molly Kate, Bennett, Hannah, Lucas, Caroline, Sam and Abby; her brother, Bill (Jean) Dale, of Concord, Mass.; and her sister-in-law, Carole (Don) Blumberg, of Hopkins, Minn.Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brother, Thomas M. Dale. Visitation for friends and family will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. A Scripture service will begin at 6:30 p.m. The funeral Mass will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011, at the Christ The King Catholic Church, with Father Ray Cotter officiating.
