Mary Elberta Dunklow

Mary Elberta Dunklow, 82, of Traverse City passed away Friday, March 3, 2017 at French Manor with her loving family at her side.
Mary was born on September 30, 1934 in Traverse City to the late Edwin and Elizabeth (Petticrew) Bopry. She married the late Henry F. Dunklow Jr. on September 3, 1955. Together they lovingly raised three children.
Mary was proud to be able to both grow up and raise her family on the Old Mission Peninsula. She worked for over 40 dedicated years at Michigan Bell now known as AT&T. Henry and Mary were members of Trinity Lutheran Church for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed reading and knitting. Above all she loved her family and all of her dogs named Scooter.
Surviving Mary are her children, Kathleen (Scott) Dohm-Beiser, Douglas (Tamara) Dunklow, Kristin Dunklow; grandchildren, Kevin (Jennifer) Dohm, Kelli (Nick) Stanek; great grandchildren Madison and Henry Dohm; her sister Corinne McGrogan of North Carolina; her beloved dog Scooter and many other loving family members and friends.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, husband Henry, brother Robert Bopry and son-in-law Robert Dohm Jr.
A memorial service will be held for Mary at 11am on Tuesday March 7, 2017 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home with a visitation beginning at 10am. Pastor Robert Zagore will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Cherryland Humane Society. Kindly share thoughts and memories with Mary's family at www.reynolds-jonkhoff.com .
