Gay Ramseur died on January 7th, 2018, peacefully at home with her three daughters by her side. Born January 31, 1943, Mary Gaylord Keator, she was born in Fairfield, CT to the late Lucy Medbury Keator and William Chauncey Keator. Gay grew up in Fairfield, CT, married Daniel Alling Bullard in 1964 and they had three beautiful daughters. Lucky to eventually find the man of her dreams in William "Rick" Henry Ramseur, she remarried in 1973 and they raised the girls in Avon, CT. Gay enjoyed spending time cooking, needlepointing belts, and was quite the athlete, playing field hockey, tennis, golf, skiing and sailing. Gay and Rick were married for 40 blissful years, moving from CT to Florida in 2002 and eventually to Traverse City, MI in 2012 to be near two of their daughters. Gay is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Jane Keator Talamini, and her husband Rick Ramseur.

Gay is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Gerrit and Marnie (Knowles) Keator of Waimea, Hawaii, brother-in-law Tom Talamini of Fairfield, CT, daughters Lucy Eliza Bullard, Gretchen Gaylord (Bullard) Fraser (Tobin), Allison Alling (Bullard) O'Keefe (Eddie), grandchildren Jack, Henry, and Daniel Shaban of Redding, CT; Sierra, Wiley and Payson Fraser of Traverse City, MI; Kate and Nicky O'Keefe of Traverse City, MI.

Gay was forever known as Gayzie to anyone who knew her well and was loved by more than anyone we know. She was given a terminal cancer diagnosis two and half years ago, fought hard and lived joyously right to the end. There will be a Memorial Gathering on Sunday, January 14th, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. Please contact the family for details.
