Mary Ellen Greenway, 73, of Traverse City, passed away October 13, 2019.
She was born November 12, 1945 to the late John and Mary Rita (Flanagan) Gray in Ann Arbor, MI.
Mary was devoted to her family first but also to her career as a 3rd grade teacher for many years. Her capacity to touch the lives of so many including her family never went unnoticed and will never be forgotten. She will forever be missed and always be remembered.
Mary is survived and missed dearly by her two sons; Mike (Megan) and Steve (Amy) as well as her beloved grandchildren; Aidan, Brielle and Drake and her brothers Thomas (Judy) Gray and John (Connie) Gray.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Garry Greenway and her brother Patrick Gray.
A visitation will take place Friday October 18, 2019 from 5-7pm at the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home. A celebration of life will also take place at the funeral home on Saturday October 19, 2019 at 3:00 pm with visitation one hour prior to the service.
