Our mother, Mary Noreen Hickok, has passed away at 88 years of age on October 4, 2022, in Traverse City, Michigan.

Noreen was a free spirit from an early age. She loved to dance and was involved in many pageants, recitals, and weddings. She would dance the night away. Noreen enjoyed summers at the beach or on a boat in Bowers Harbor with family and friends. Her children brought her the most happiness and enjoyment. Christmas in her home was a very special time for her. So many memories, abundance of gifts, wonderful food, and plenty of laughter.

She is survived by her sons Robert, Craig (Lisa), Theo (Nancy), Randall (Kim), Thomas (Lisa); daughters Peggy (Pat) and Brenda. Noreen had eight children. She wanted enough for a football team—all of us blessed her with 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Dennis (Nancy); and sister Wendy (Alfie).

Noreen was preceded in passing by her husband William; son Curtis; and her parents, Arnold and Loretta (Lardie) White.

Relatives and friends may call on Noreen's family during a time of visitation from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth Street, Traverse City, MI 49684. A Praying of the Rosary will be offered at 6:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Ben Rexroat at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 10, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12675 Center Road, Traverse City, MI 49686. There will be a time of visitation one hour prior to Mass. Immediately following Mass, Noreen will be laid to rest in the parish cemetery.
