Mary Susan Kimball Denham was called home to heaven on July 20, 2022 after a courageous battle against cancer. She was born on January 26, 1966 in Chicago. At the age of 11 she moved to Interlochen and attended Traverse City Central Elementary and Traverse City Central High School. She married Mark Denham on October 11, 1986 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Traverse City.

Over the years Mary worked at several businesses around Traverse City. Outside of work she was always busy with her hobbies including cross stitching, plastic canvas needlework, and scrap booking. Many of her beautiful projects were given as gifts to friends and family. Her other interests included swimming, volleyball and especially travelling on cruise ships with different groups of deaf people. She was an active member at Trinity Lutheran who joyfully attended church services, bible classes, and helped with church bulletins and quilting projects. She loved her Lord and it showed.

She touched the lives of many people and will be greatly missed. We are comforted in knowing she is with Jesus and all the saints singing praises to Him forever

Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Ann Kimball; her father, David Kimball; and her brother, Charles Kimball. She is survived by her devoted husband Mark, her uncle Jay Thompson of California, and many cousins across the United States.

The funeral will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Traverse City at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2022, with visitation for one hour before the service. Interment will follow at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
