Mary Sue Perria, age 97, of Traverse City, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.

Mary Sue was a devout Christian and a long-time member of East Bay Calvary Church. She was a selfless and loving mother, who always put the needs of her children before her own. She gave of herself often, volunteering her time and earnings to charities and organizations, notably Hearts for God and Sleeping Bags for the Homeless. She especially enjoyed sending birthday cards to her family and friends, every year, without fail.

Mary Sue was preceded in death by her daughter, Suzanne Kay Watters; and infant son, Phillip Edward Perria.

She is survived by her children: Alvin Perria, Marcia (Dennis) Kloosterman, Patricia (Ken) Beckwith, Steven (Kathy) Perria, Deanna (Michael) Miller; 17 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; son-in-law, Carl Watters; sister, Phyllis Hahn; and many extended family members and friends.

A time of visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth Street, Traverse City.
