Mary Anne Samuelson, 85, of Traverse City passed away peacefully on August 31, 2022 at Munson Medical Center.

Mary was born on August 31, 1937 in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan, Canada to the late John and Gladys (Donison) Balan. Shortly after her family relocated to Chatham, Ontario. After graduating from high school, she moved to Windsor, Ontario and began a lifelong career in the floral industry. It was at a florist convention in Detroit where she met her future husband Charles Samuelson. He convinced her to move to Traverse City and soon married. They have four tremendous daughters.

She worked at a couple of floral shops and met Linda Williams. They decided to go into business as partners and soon after they opened The Flower Station. They enjoyed many years in business until retiring. After retirement she really enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

Fondly, Mary will be remembered for her creative artistic ability, witty sense of humor and love for her family.
