MAPLE CITY – Mary Kathryn Whalen, age 49, of Maple City, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2020 at her home.
Mary was born to the late Leo and Kathryn (Opolski) Whalen on February 1, 1971 in Dearborn, MI. She grew up in Dearborn Heights and attended school at Crestwood High School where she graduated from.
Mary worked as a business manager for Peace Poles in Maple City with her significant other, David. She had a love for Detroit sports, gardening, and her dogs.
Mary is survived by her mother, Kathy Whalen, siblings; Leeza (Mark) Palleschi, Leo (Sherrie) Whalen, Joseph (Nicole) Whalen, two nieces, and two nephews, an aunt, six cousins, her beloved David Moffat, and her beloved dogs.
Mary was preceded in death by her father, Leo Whalen.
A memorial service celebrating Mary's life will be held at a later date. Mary will be interred at St. Philip Neri Catholic Cemetery.
