Matthew Allen "Thew" Hendges

Traverse City - Matthew Allen Hendges, 36, of Traverse City passed away suddenly on October 28, 2015 at home.

Matt was born on April 11, 1979 in Traverse City to Donald E. and Karen E. Hendges. He is also survived by his brother Terry (Kylie Carpenter) Hendges, four children Ashley, Brandon, Isabella, and Aiden, grandparents Donald and Eileen Wares, and many cousins, aunts and uncles.

Matt was preceded in death by his grandparents Delton and Maxine Hendges.

Matt loved to fish. He loved spending time with his children and family. His Cadillac was his pride and joy. He enjoyed helping his dad clean the garage. Spending time with his dad made him happy. Messing with his mom, and trying to get her to laugh also made him happy. He had a great sense of humor and could brighten anyone's day. He was employed at Kurtz moving and loved his job.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 10:30 am with visitation beginning at 9:30 am at the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
