RAPID CITY — Maureen Hilliard Feeser, 69, of Rapid City, died May 6, 2011, at Munson Medical Center's Emergency Room, due to complications during rehabilitation from a fall; she had been at Meadow Brook Medical Facility in Bellaire for one week.She was born Nov. 7, 1941, in Jersey City, N.J., the daughter of the late Robert and Arlene Hoover Hilliard.Mrs. Feeser earned her nursing degree at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Md., and practiced nursing throughout her life. She worked as an emergency room nurse in Cincinnati, Ohio, and most recently as a homecare registered nurse through Munson Home Health. She was president of the Friends of the Helena Township Public Library (2006-07), and also the communications chairperson for the Alden Volunteers in 2008.She is survived by her daughter, Wendy Feeser Jakszta, granddaughter, Lindsay Morgan Jakszta, and grandson, Ryan Hunter Jakszta, all of Colleyville, Texas; and sister, Gail Hilliard Coury, of Clifton Park, N.Y.She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Richard Feeser, in 2002.Memorial services will be held May 21 at Keeney & Basford, followed by interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick, Md. There will also be a Juniper Garden Club Memorial Tree Planting ceremony honoring fallen community members in Freedom Park (Rapid City) at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 2, followed by a picnic lunch.In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted in Maureen's name at Friends of the Helena Township Public Library, 8751 Helena Rd., Alden, MI 49612.Kindly share your memories with the family on their online guestbook at
