Maxcella A. Latimer

Maxcella (Maxcie) Latimer 88 died on November 6, 2018 after a short illness. A Traverse City resident since 1942, Maxcie was well known and loved by generations of people. Maxcie's life was spent serving God by serving people. Although she did not have much, she gave all she had to feed others and care for God's creation. Among her many gifts were her tremendous ability and passion for tending flowers, gardens, and children. Maxcie's many friends are deeply grateful to the wonderful staff at the Grand Traverse Pavilions Rehabilitation Unit and Hospice of Michigan. A celebration of Maxcie's life will take place at Grace Episcopal Church – 341 Washington St in Traverse City - on Saturday, November 10 at 11am. A luncheon will be served following the service. Maxcie's friends will gather at the church to share memories between 4:30 and 6:30 pm on Friday and again before the service on Saturday. Maxcie asked memorial gifts be given to establish the Maxcella Latimer Fund at Grace Episcopal Church.
