TRAVERSE CITY — Maxine C. Leddy passed away Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at Munson Hospice House. Born in Bay City, Maxine was the daughter of Victor and Iva Pecha. She had resided in Saginaw for 40 years, having lived in Oklahoma for eight years and St. Charles, Mich., for 15 years. Ten years ago, she moved to Traverse City to be near family. On Nov. 12, 2006, she married Fred Leddy at the Harbor Light Christian Center.Maxine enjoyed walking, exercising and shopping. An avid, born again, spirit-filled Christian, she was a member of Harbor Light Christian Center. She loved Jesus as her Savior and served him daily.She is survived by her husband, Fred; her children, Judy (Ronald) Burkhard, of Traverse City, Ronald (Barbara) Rumpel, of Saginaw, and Sandra (Peter) Moon, of Traverse City; and her stepson, Scott (Cindy) Leddy, of Interlochen. Also surviving are her 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two step grandchildren; her sister, Eleanor Rivet, of Saginaw; two nieces; and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, DeVere M. Rumpel, who died in 1969.Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, at The Harbor Light Christian Center, 4050 Barnes Road, Traverse City, followed by funeral services at 10 a.m. Entombment will take place at Rose Lawn Mausoleum in Saginaw Thursday at 2:30 p.m.The family asks that memorial donations in Maxine's name be directed to the Harbor Light Christian Center in Traverse City.Please share your memories and thoughts of Maxine with her family at www.reynolds-jonkhoff.com .
