Maxine Stachnik

Maple City – Maxine Loretta Stachnik, age 77, longtime resident of Maple City, MI, passed away Thursday, August 25th, 2016 at her home with her family beside her. Maxine was born on July 3rd, 1939 to the late Edward and Hazel LaValley of Kalkaska.
She married Darwin Stachnik the love of her life on November 19th, 1963. She enjoyed spending time playing cards with her family and friends. Together Maxine and Darwin took their motor home to Florida making stops to see beloved family and friends along the way.
She was a proud mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed. Maxine is survived by her loving family; son, Randy (Julie) Stachnik of Cedar, MI; daughters, Brenda (Stachnik) Tomei of Bonita Springs, FL, and Lynn (David) Jackson of Cartersville, GA; 2 grandchildren, Logan and David; one sister Alice Paquette of Jackson, MI; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert (Violet) Stachnik, and many loving family members and friends.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband Darwin in 2014, one brother Tom LaValley, and a precious grand-daughter Mareena Lyn, who passed in 2004.
Per Maxine's wishes there will be no funeral services. She will be laid to rest with her loving husband Darwin in the presence of her immediate family.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Hospice of Michigan, 10850 E Traverse Hwy #1155, Traverse City, MI 49684, for all the wonderful services and loving care they provided for Maxine and her children.
