Melanie Marie Berden

Melanie Marie Berden, 42, of Traverse City passed away November 17, 2021 at home.

Melanie was born on July 13, 1979 in Traverse City, to Terry and Rayma (Grawey) Berden. She graduated from Traverse City High School in the class of 1997 and proudly served her family's businesses for nearly 25 years.

With her contagious laugh and smile, Melanie filled every moment and space with color, light and love for she truly would fill up any room she was in and people gravitated towards her easy going nature. She touched the lives of many through her gentle spirit and listening ear, both at work as Human Resource Director and for family and friends, for whom she was their rock.

Melanie enjoyed learning to cook, sunsets, playing games with her niece and nephews as well as cake decorating and volunteering with her family. She will be missed so very, very much.

Surviving Melanie are her parents, Terry and Rayma, siblings Amanda (Michael) DeBruyn, T.J. Berden, nieces and nephews, Carter, Ella, Solomon, Grady, her kitties Zipper and Copper, and many other loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 3pm at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home with a visitation beginning at 2pm. Memorial contributions may be directed to AC Paw or the Women's Resource Center.
