TRAVERSE CITY - Michael Sean Dunn, 47, of Traverse City, passed away peacefully on Feb. 24, 2015 at his home surrounded by the love of family and friends. Sean was born in Kalamazoo, MI on September 7, 1967 and lived the majority of his adult life in Traverse City, MI.

Sean attended St. Joseph elementary, graduated from Comstock high school, a graduate of Michigan State University '89, a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Sean was a member of Bay Pointe Church, served on the programming team, an actor in several plays. Sean's beautiful smile will be remembered always as will the courage he showed in his journey, through grace and dignity, a true gentleman. He loved God, laughing with his wife, kite boarding, wind surfing, wood working, riding his motorcycle, fishing, and spending time with family.

Sean is survived by his wife, Sandra Dunn; his step-daughter, Grace Guba; parents, Richard (Cathy) Dunn, Patti (Jim) Amlicke; sisters, Stephanie (Bill) Burns; Samantha (Felix) Lin; Carie Dunn, Carmel Sackett; Brother-in-law Jim (Lisa) Thornburg, Lori (Rene) Foley Vega; Tamara (Ed) Vomastek. Sean was blessed by 5 nieces, 9 nephews and 1 great nephew; Aunts and Uncles and several cousins.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Bay Pointe Community Church, Traverse City, on Sat. March 14, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation held at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Hermelin Brain Tumor Center (Henryford.com), Munson Hospice or the Cowell Family Cancer Center (munsonhealthcare.org/givenow).
