Michael "Mike" Finnila's Obituary
Michael "Mike" Kerry Finnila, 72, of Kingsley, passed away peacefully December 23, 2022 at Munson Medical Center, Traverse City.
Mike was born in Traverse City, July 13, 1950, son to Elizabeth (Jackman) Archer and the late Raymond Finnila. He remained a lifelong resident of the area.
He served honorably in the United States Army and was a gifted musician. Mike was also a skilled carpenter, excelling in residential and commercial construction. He occasionally worked for Ole Ritola, Tim Bachi and Sunrite Construction. He was a life member of VFW Post 2780, Traverse City.
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Archer; brother David (Sharon) Finnila; sister Christy Veliquette; granddaughter Abigail Finnila along with extended family members and friends. He will be greatly missed by loved ones and all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond; son Brandon and step-father Kenneth J. Archer.
A celebration of Mike's life will be announced at a later date.
