Michael "Mike" James Koper, 43, of Traverse City, Michigan passed away on
Thursday, November 27, 2025, at his home. Mike was born on January 7, 1982, in
Traverse City, to Thomas and Mary (Wager) Koper.
Mike attended Northwestern Michigan College. He later received a bachelor's
degree in business administration from Western Michigan University. Mike was
brilliant with computers. He worked as a freelance computer technician in the
Traverse City area. In his spare time, Mike loved to scuba dive, he was a member
of the Kingsley Sportsmen's Club, where he enjoyed target practice. He was an
excellent shot. Above all, spending time with his family and his best dog, Boone,
was his greatest joy.
Mike is survived by his father, Thomas "Tom" Koper, his brother, Jason "Jay"
Koper, his uncle Ken Koper, and his aunt, Julie (Steve) Lambertson as well as his
dog, Boone.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Koper.
A memorial service honoring Michael will be held at a later date.
