Mildred "Millie" Shea

Mildred "Millie" A. Shea, 94 years young, passed away June 9, 2023.

Millie was born on February 23, 1929 to the late Frank and Bertha (Neuman) Youker. She was one of two children.
Millie or "Mickey" as she was known by the Neuman side of the family, was a true treasure. She was always "busy" around the house, mowing the lawn or working in her garden. She was an avid reader and the best canner of produce ever! She also cherished her quiet time and was known for taking a daily nap.

She was a huge lover of animals, of her family and of her farm. Her pride and joy, beyond measure, were her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her many pets. She loved playing Uno and Trouble with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed knitting stockings and blankets.

Millie is survived by her children, Katherine (Tim) Belanger, Patrick (Marta) and Michael (Shanna) and son-in-law Jeff Suttlif. Grandchildren, Kyle, Ian (Bri), Whitney (David), Preston, Shea (Colter), Fran (Caleb), Jansen, Mary, Morgan, Ashleigh and Reed (Samantha). Great grandchildren, Wally, Parker, Ardie, Presleigh, Brooks, Gabi, Connor and Hadley. She will also be missed by special friends Will (Chitlada) Wise, Bridgett and Finley Schickinger. Millie had many friends who were her loving care-givers at Cherry Hill The Nest. The family would like to express their gratitude to Brenna, Sheree, Sarah, Maria for their love and care of our mother.

She is preceded in death by her husband Donald, her daughter Ann, her grandson Logan, her parents Frank and Bertha, brother Laurel David, special nephew Rich McCarthy and his wife Nancy, her son-in-law Robert Kast and beloved golden retriever, Dottie.

The family wishes to thank Hospice of Michigan for their amazing care of Millie, especially during her final days.
