Minnetta Kathlyn Cook, 32 of Traverse City passed away November 24th, 2015 at Munson Medical Center.
Minnetta was born on January 16, 1983 in Traverse City to Gerald Anthony and Minnetta Bertha (Zobel) Gauthier.
Minnetta was active in the choir and the soccer team during her high school years. She graduated from West Senior High School and then attended Ferris State University where she earned her Bachelor's degree in accounting. Minnetta worked for the Home Depot as a bookkeeper which is where she met the love of her life, Clinton Wade Cook. On October 20, 2007 Minnetta married Clinton at Trinity Lutheran Church in Traverse City.
In her spare time she loved to be outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing, kayaking and even scuba diving; she loved nature.
Minnetta is survived by her husband Clinton, her parents Gerald and Minnetta Gauthier of Traverse City, her grandmother June (Gauthier) Frost of Watertown, WI; brother Rev. Gerald Gauthier II (Amy) of Lakefield, MN; brother Michael Gauthier of Traverse City.
Minnetta was preceded in death by her grandparents Arno and Kathlyn Zobel of Traverse City and Gerald V. Gauthier of Lake Leelanau, MI.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 30, 2015 from 4 to 7 pm at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 12 noon, with visitation beginning at 11 am at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Graveside service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Traverse City.
