Myrna Clement, 80, of Traverse City died March 1, 2020 at South Ridge Assisted Living.
Myrna was born on November 3, 1939 in Detroit to the late Harold Richard and Dorothy (Schield) Schoenberg.
On February 16, 1982 Myrna married William Donald Clement. They shared many wonderful years together.
Myrna was a hair stylist and beautician and worked for Murra's Hair care for many years. She taught at Kay Beauty College for several years and also worked at Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home where she was able to use her talents in a caring and loving way. She and Bill were long time members of the Elks Lodge in Traverse City. In her free time she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and pottery. She also loved the National Cherry Festival and was a proud ambassador. Myrna was a fun loving, social person who will be greatly missed.
Myrna was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Myrna is survived by her son Steven (Jackie) Schenk, son Richard (Kim) Schenk and daughter Lisa Zoulek; grandchildren Mitchell Schenk, Samantha Schenk, Leann (Brett) Rupnow, and J.P. Gustafson; beloved great grandson Blake Mathew; brother Richard (Edith) Schoenberg and niece Ann. Myrna is also survived by her kitty, Daisy who was a faithful companion and furry friend for the last ten years.
Myrna will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery in the spring. A gathering will follow at Steve and Jackie's home.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Heartland Hospice and to Virginia and all of the staff at South Ridge for the care and compassion they showed for Myrna and her family. She will be missed by the many dear friends she had over the years and we thank them all for their support.
