Nancy was the first-born daughter of Beatie and John Erickson and was their pride and joy. Within the next thirteen years, she was joined by sisters Janet and Anne; brothers John and Bill. She was a loving big sister and caretaker of us all.

Nancy graduated cum laude from Saginaw Valley College and studied at the London School of Economics. Nancy married the love of her life, Seyed Nasser Ferdows, while living in London, England. Soon they were joined by daughter Farah Marie Anne who brought great love, delight, and pride to Nancy. We welcomed them home stateside in 1978. The family moved to California, close to her sister Janet.

Professionally, Nancy was employed by the State of California before going into retail sales at Macy's. There she excelled giving the highest customer service and making lifelong friends with customers and staff. She had such a talent for making and keeping friends her whole life wherever she went! Many of her dear friends go back to kindergarten at Norris Elementary School.

London, Nancy's dearest granddaughter, brought her such happiness and was the apple of her eye. She so looked forward to spending time with London, introducing her to reading, flowers, visits to the coast and back to Michigan, blowing bubbles, and the love of art.

Nancy was loving, caring, and ALWAYS put everyone else first. She was the most generous person and always wanted to be with her family. She was the glue that kept us all together. Nancy is survived by her husband Nasser, daughter Farah, son-in-law Kevin, granddaughter London, sisters Janet and Anne, brothers John and Bill, uncle Richard Davis, aunt Marie Lemmer, and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, grandnephews and nieces.

The family requests that contributions be made to the Humane Society of Sonoma County or West Bay Covenant Church. As Nancy loved flowers, please plant flowers in her honor. A Celebration of Life will be held on Nov. 25, 2023 at the Sonoma Community Center. The funeral will be held at West Bay Covenant Church in Traverse City, Michigan on Nancy's birthday, May 13, 2024.
